A very special weekend stay.

Liked: Welcoming helpful staff and courteous service throughout our stay. An opulent comfortable room with lovely views of the walled garden and the estate beyond. A grand staircase to descend into the amazingly decorated reception area. Excellent food and service at breakfast and at dinner in the Elements restaurant. Great atmosphere and wonderful service in the Squadron bar with a lovely outside seating area.

Liked: The male staff member in the golf bar was extremely helpful, obliging, and courteous. A credit to your establishment.
Disliked: No signage for reception or that we couldn't or advised we shouldn't park in small car park next to reception in arrival! No signage to reflect this! We had to request room clean on Sunday, they did this late afternoon with no replenish of biscuits etc. The restaurant provided lovely food, but the table was left with dirty plates throughout breakfast and not cleared in between courses or tea/coffee offered to be replenished..

Great potential but should have...

Liked: Imposing location with great history.
Disliked: There was a massive building site right outside our rooms. Luckily only there for one night else would have requested room change. The staff were pleasant.
