Liked: The food was quite good. Reasonably priced.
Disliked: The room we were given hadn't been cleaned, bedding hadn't been changed, bath towels still on the floor, toilet not flushed. Given another room, larger and better bed room but the bathroom really needs to be updated, it was a bit manky. Glad to get out of there. While eating breakfast the floor were being cleaned around us which smelt very strong and off putting . Would never recommend this place as it is far too over priced for what you get.

Perfect budget hotel close to...

Liked: Perfectly located, reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful (an absolute credit to the business). Food was reasonably priced and great portion sizes. Room was clean
Disliked: A bit too warm for me and pillows were not to my taste. Stains on bathroom floor and some patches of mould in the shower including shower head. But that’s it everything else was perfectly executed

We stopped at a Travelodge...

Liked: We travelled from Norfolk to Cornwall and had a midway overnight break each way in Alcester. This Stop was on the way home. We checked in and was given our key. On entering the room it all looked reasonably tidy with a very strong smell of bleach so it was obvious that it had been cleaned.
Disliked: On entry we were underwhelmed with the atmosphere. The bar area was predominantly occupied by men, giving the appearance of a working men's club, who, we felt, steered at us as we walked to the bar to check in. As a consequence we did not eat here but walked to the town instead where we found a very friendly pub with a homely feel. We returned to a comfy bed and slept off the wine. We woke and realised, after the bleach smell had evaporated that the room probably wasn't as clean as we thought. We packed and left without breakfast, opting for McDonald's instead.
