Albemarle Inn - Asheville

Our first stay was amazing....

Liked: The breakfast was very limited to pre-packaged cakes and cookies and muffins from Costco. NO decaf coffee.
Disliked: The shine is off this property since it was sold.

Very good

Liked: Everything was great. Breakfast was a bust though.
Disliked: Breakfast was nothing like pictured.

A perfect place to stay...

Liked: The room was large and comfortable. The common areas were large and there were beautiful outdoor spaces as well. The king size bed and soft sheets were particularly nice.
Disliked: You need to be able to walk up and down steps at this Inn.

Comfortable stay at beautiful historic...

Liked: Beautiful old historic building. It was great to have a common kitchen area available to help yourself to coffee/tea, use the fridge etc. The receptionist departs at 5pm, but there’s a number to call incase you need anything, would’ve been nice to have the main room fireplace running til 8-9pm or communication on arrival about using it.
Disliked: Breakfast was just ok. Typical continental style, bagels, muffins, hard boiled egg, plain yogurt, fruit, Coffee & OJ. For such a grand beautiful place a little more effort on breakfast would be appreciated. (We might be biased as we just came from another B&B with Excellent hot breakfast and friendly service).

Liked: Loved this facility. By far one of the nicest facilities ever stayed at. Room, bed, staff, breakfast, location, and house itself were outstanding. Highly recommend—you don’t want to miss this gem.

Exceptional

Good. A true BnB breakfast...

Liked: House was gorgeous and rooms were well equipped and comfortable. Location was charming and convenient. Host was very kind.
Disliked: Continental breakfast was a let down. One of the best things about a Bed and 'Breakfast' is a hot, homemade breakfast. I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned this in recent reviews; I would have expected the quality/price of the place to have raised expectations for the breakfast.

Charming Inn

Liked: Staff is super friendly. The house is old so expect it to be a little squeaky here and there, but everything is pretty much well-maintained and clean. Located in a quiet and relaxing neighborhood. Pantry is open 24/7 if you want coffee, tea, and cookies.
