Liked: Breakfast was great. The view outside and accessibility to small boats, etc were great! The staff was superb.
Disliked: The rooms were very small and the beds were horrible. You could hardly move around in the bathroom.

Exceptional

Staff was super but managing...

Liked: The staff is excellent and the owner is really trying to build up her event business. But the effort to keep booking and maintaining the sleeping rooms and overall quality of a B& B are suffering because of it. A dedicated and trained person running the lodging side of this property could be bringing in a steady stream of high percentage profits all week long. Currently, if there is an event booked, the entire effort goes to the event without much of a thought to the lodging side. What a pity. Once again, the staff was very personable and as helpful as they were trained to be.
Disliked: There was no literature in the rooms listing what activities could be had on the property or where to go to get any equipment needed. There was absolutely no management doing a checklist on a prepared room for a new occupant. A checklist for each room would be very efficient here. There were no instructions in the rooms for operation of the TV. A list of where to go to eat would have been great for use of the customers. There was no breakfast available even though that is mentioned in marketing on line. There were curtains and rods missing in my room. A lot of electrical things were not working in the rooms. There should have been clean seating areas out on the property reserved for guests staying there while there were private events going on. The owner is missing a huge opportunity by not spending at least one day a week fixing things that need attention and working off of a list to keep everything organized. Once again, a little more thought on the lodging side and some good, targeted marketing would go a long way to contributing to the bottom line on a regular basis which it appears is desperately needed at the moment. Checklists, direction, consistency, and responsibility could go a long way on improving their bottom line. We were visiting to decide about a long vacation next year just because of the possibility of enjoying that property with the full services that it should have.

Like camp for grownups…but with...

Liked: Exceptionally beautiful, peaceful setting; attentive,responsive, energetic staff. Loved being able to have both breakfast and dinner there.
