The Spotlight on Aladdin Inn and Suites

Affordable Comfort Close to Portland’s Concert Action

Modern convenience meets budget-friendly pricing at Aladdin Inn and Suites, a simple and clean hotel located in Southwest Portland. Just off Interstate 5 and a quick 10-minute drive to downtown, it's a smart pick for travelers looking to stay near the music without paying downtown prices. Rooms are straightforward but functional, with free Wi-Fi, cable TV (including HBO), and handy kitchen amenities like a microwave, fridge, or full kitchenette in select units.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're heading to a show in downtown Portland, the location is a major plus—central venues are just a short drive away, and you can hop on I-5 for a smooth ride back post-show. While not in the heart of the nightlife, it's peaceful for winding down after a loud night. The free parking is a bonus for road-trippers, and with a check-in time of 3 PM and check-out at 11 AM, there’s decent flexibility for overnight stays.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends sharing a room with a kitchenette to save on meals
- Solo travelers chasing their favorite artist across cities
- Couples enjoying a weekend of music and low-key Portland charm
- Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space
- Budget-conscious music fans who want value without sacrificing comfort

Food and Drink Options

Aladdin Inn and Suites offers a daily continental breakfast—perfect for a quick bite after a late night. While there’s no on-site restaurant, rooms with kitchenettes make late-night snacking or meal prep easy. Plus, you're only a short drive from Portland’s foodie scene, including late-night diners and casual eats.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more about sleep than scene, you're within easy reach of Portland's bar and live music districts. Grab a ride and explore the vibrant venues and lounges downtown, then come back to a quiet room and a comfy bed.

What People Say

Guests on Booking.com and TripAdvisor often highlight the cleanliness, friendly staff, and excellent value. The convenient location without downtown noise is another plus, and many appreciate the spacious rooms and kitchenettes when traveling with a group.

Areas for Improvement

The style is more functional than fancy—think motel simplicity. Some guests mention that the property is a bit dated and could use décor updates. And if you’re counting on walking to nightlife, this spot might be a little far without a car or ride share.

The Bottom Line

A solid, value-packed choice for concert-goers who want easy access to downtown Portland venues with a quiet place to crash and free parking.

Convenient location but needs better...

Liked: Good location and somewhat updated.
Disliked: Found toenail clippings beside the bed on the floor so it was obviously not vacuumed between guests. That’s gross! Toilet seat was old and damaged. Paint peeling from tub. Room smelled musty and caused my sinuses to get congested.

Comfortable.

Liked: It’s always very comfortable.
Disliked: We’ve been here yearly for years and this time around the morning we were to leave some lady went into one of our rooms at 8 in the morning. Didn’t apologize or anything, just walked in looked around and walked out. I’m assuming it was the owner or the main housekeeper but regardless it was rude of her to do that.

For the price, this place...

Liked: Location was great for going to OHSU. Our room was nice, clean, & comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. I slept with ear plugs in so I would get a good night's sleep. My friend heard traffic & noises all night & I did offer her ear plugs!! Traffic SUCKS in Portland!! We were not used to driving on old, NARROW residential streets to get to the medical centers. Overall, I will stay here again. The continental breakfast was very simple & plain. Costco muffins cut in half, coffee & I think juice.
Disliked: No elevator to get up to the 3rd floor!!
