Cat, Salina, visiting Mohawk Austin

The overall condition of hotel was very good and breakfast was fresh and had quite a selection of food. As stated in my negatives, my biggest complaint is that my check in was at 3 but they said their system was down and I could not check in until whenever they called me (which turned out to be an hour or so after 3). They didn't have any sort of back up system to use in case of such a problem. And nothing was offered to make up for the late check in and when we asked about a discount, we were told since we booked online, there was nothing they could do about costs, except offer us "points" of the sort to use toward a future reservation. But that required a sign up for an account and we don't travel enough to make an account worth having. So, all in all, it just may be our fault we did not read the stipulations of booking online through other companies. Other than the late check in, everything else was very good!

Liked: Close to venue we were visiting, big breakfast.
Disliked: Late check in; no discount.

Steven S, Round Rock, visiting Emo's East Austin

Liked: Very roomy, great location from Emo's. Only took about 6 minutes to arrive.
Disliked: They won't let you on the balcony in the room we were in. They had a window that led to this balcony, but had a warning stating not to remove screen or go out the window. What's the point in having one in the first place?

Overall, I recommend it! but...

Liked: This was my second time staying at Aiden Austin City Hotel, and overall, it was a great experience again. The hotel’s common areas are truly fantastic — the pool, hot tub, and foosball table create a fun and relaxing vibe. The espresso machine is a nice touch, and the cleanliness of the hotel is definitely a highlight. There's always parking available, and the location offers easy access to the highway, making it quick to get around the city. The room is well-equipped with a mini fridge, TV, hairdryer, and iron, which I appreciated. The breakfast is definitely one of the best features — so good! And having the Japanese restaurant on-site is a huge plus — we had a great lunch there.
Disliked: The room I stayed in this time definitely needs a renovation. It felt quite outdated, and the bathroom was extremely tight. I’d suggest they consider replacing the bathtub with a walk-in shower to make better use of the space. Also, the shower itself wasn’t working properly — the water kept switching back to the faucet due to low pressure. The toilet flush lever was broken too, so we had to manually reset it after every use.Staff interactions were mixed — some were incredibly kind and welcoming, while others not so much. There’s room for improvement in consistency. Lastly, having a dedicated pet area would be a great addition for those of us traveling with dogs.
