Aiden Austin City Hotel

The overall condition of hotel was very good and breakfast was fresh and had quite a selection of food. As stated in my negatives, my biggest complaint is that my check in was at 3 but they said their system was down and I could not check in until whenever they called me (which turned out to be an hour or so after 3). They didn't have any sort of back up system to use in case of such a problem. And nothing was offered to make up for the late check in and when we asked about a discount, we were told since we booked online, there was nothing they could do about costs, except offer us "points" of the sort to use toward a future reservation. But that required a sign up for an account and we don't travel enough to make an account worth having. So, all in all, it just may be our fault we did not read the stipulations of booking online through other companies. Other than the late check in, everything else was very good!

Liked: Very roomy, great location from Emo's. Only took about 6 minutes to arrive.
Disliked: They won't let you on the balcony in the room we were in. They had a window that led to this balcony, but had a warning stating not to remove screen or go out the window. What's the point in having one in the first place?

Liked: The place has a laidback funky vibe, but the staff is great and it’s a great value. It works, and that’s saying a lot these days.
Disliked: The location can be problematic in some ways, but it’s worth it when you get used to it. Breakfast is not gourmet, but it’s breakfast and there’s a good variety and lots of it.

Liked: I looked for a place close to town center and this place was cheap and got a high score. Staff was friendly and the room was OK. Allot of free parking.
Disliked: The place felt old not as clean as expected. Breakfast wasn't so good.
