Unfortunately underwhelming, with a broking...

Disliked: The mattress has seen better days and if the bathroom soap comes from Lidl you know enough. The worst was the broken air-conditioning unit when it was a 30 Degrees day and I was on the top floor. The fan was not sufficient. I liked how the fire escape plan recommends you to 'notify the fire department' when you go to bed.

A nice location but...

Liked: The location was very good,close to tube station, bars and restaurants. It was a very hot day so I was thankful for the fan in the room.
Disliked: The noise from the road. The single room was hot,stuffy and smaller than expected and the bathroom light kept coming on. It seemed to be on a sensor but it would come on with the bathroom door closed or open and nobody in there.

Uncomfortable stay with insects flea...

Liked: Location - 7 mins walk to the tube stationAnd the host helped to bring the luggage to the second floorAnd that’s it.
Disliked: We were staying at a 3 bed room for a night and it’s on the second floor. We saw many flies and spiders (dead or undead) in the washroom and then when sanitising our beds (we always do this after COVID) we saw flea / brown insects on the bed and we immediately killed them and flush to the toilet. We were so uncomfortable the whole night but as we’re tired and my parents aren’t young that they need enough rest, I didn’t report to reception in person at that time (I messaged them instead).When I was on my phone midnight with the lights off just the screen on, I saw a small shadow passed in between my eyes and phone screen, and when I turn on the torchlight I saw a mini cockroach on my pillow!!! We can’t sleep well the whole night and woke up so early and decided to leave earlier than planned because we just don’t want to stay with insects for long…You might want to say because we opened the window, but the next day I was sleeping at a hostel in London with windows open and no insects there I had a very good sleep… and I don’t know if mini cockroaches will climb to the second floor…?The auto lights in the washroom turn on for a very short period. The light turn off during 1/3 way of shower so have to open the shower door to turn it back on again…The other thing is the reception is helpful but could be more polite…There are high level stairs, I expect the stairs but it is just a bit more difficult than normal stairs. Just to make other travellers aware. The room is very very warm, I’ve opened the window and turned on the fan, it helps a bit but not much. I stayed in mid June fyr. Idk if the fridge works tho. It is not cold too even all switches are on.I paid for not a cheap amount and was expecting reasonable quality as I was with my parents. This is just overpriced… the location is good but apart from this it’s just a nightmare…

Liked: the room very very compact, but supplied every thing you need for a good stay, shower was hot and powerful
Disliked: Aircon, we unfortunately picked a very hot day to stay the loft room was very warm

Liked: Great location and it a quiet area.Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The stairs up to the rooms are steep and narrow, no lift.Rooms get hot and stuffy but the windows do open and there is a fan provided.

Great price for a basic...

Liked: Really friendly staff. Fabulous location. Good price for London. It is basic and a little inconvenient in some ways, but location people and price made it worth it for us.
Disliked: Small en suite made it a bit awkward. Room was stifling - there was a fan but it didn't help much. Walls and ceiling thin so could hear other guests.
