Unfortunate stay

Liked: Very nicely designed hotel. Good location, walkable to lots of attractions with good food and drinks spots nearby. Some of the staff were helpful
Disliked: We had an issue with our room, with some unfortunate substances having been left in the welcome booklet, presumably by a previous guest, which was not good. The folk at reception helped out and they did have the area cleaned. We were expecting some form of "compensation" however this was not received until we mentioned the situation again at the desk later that day. We received drinks tokens which was nice - we hoped to redeem them at the rooftop bar given the good weather and were quite looking forward to it, however we found the bar to be closed that day, which we had not been told of on our arrival. It was likely an unfortunate experience that we had, however for these reasons we found our stay disappointing.The gym was also quite small for the size of hotel.

Liked: Like most ACE chains, the lobby area and the entrance was cool.
Disliked: The gym was small and the staff were not as friendly.

Superb

Liked: The staff were great at check-in. We got lucky, and they were able to accommodate an early check-in, which we appreciated. The restaurant and lobby bar were great, the rooftop was amazing, and it was fun late at night with live music. Central location, comfortable beds, and clean. We would stay again for sure.
Disliked: The only thing that was not great was that our window looked directly into another building, and the non black out curtain did not go all the way down, so there was a serious lack of privacy.

Liked: Beautifully presented and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our last dinner at the hotels’s restaurant was stunning!

Hidden gem

Liked: Location is amazing. Close to everything, with good public transport nearby. Amazing staff. One of the rare rooftop bars in Toronto. Such comfortable bed. For European travellers, they have non detachable showers.

A good deal that was...

Liked: Staff were helpful upon arrival and even let me check in early as the room was already available. Just opposite is a nice little park and a food hall which I tried out. The downstairs lobby has coffee which I had in the morning a couple of times as well. I walked all around Toronto when I was there and it was only about a 20 minute walk to the city centre. There are a lot of bars and coffee places nearby and not that far from some retail areas like The Well or a longer walk to Eaton Centre. My room had a good view over the park and as well.
Disliked: Nothing

Comfortable hotel in the perfect...

Liked: Excellent location. Very clean comfortable hotel. Staff super friendly and helpful. The almond croissants in the lobby for breakfast were spectacular.
Disliked: No complimentary water in the room. Wasn’t a fan of the breakfast choices

Liked: Good coffee and fresh croissants
