Liked: Location so close to Hoyt station. Made transport to and from our daily destinations easy and seamless. The
Disliked: Bathroom smell was rancid. Informed front desk and asked them to clean. This didn’t improve the smell. Reached out again and was told ‘sorry, will be looked at after your checkout.’ Were unable to switch rooms. Struggled through horrible smell for six days.

Exceptional

Liked: The room really exceeded my expectations. I had a corner room which meant so much natural light and the Brooklyn skyline. The bed was super comportable, the staff was so helpful and friendly: I forgot my phone in the room after checking out and when I returned in a slight panic, they got it for me and I was back out in less than 10 minutes. Really appreciated how easy and fast that was. The lobby and bar are very stylish, and there was plenty of space to work in the day, if you don't want to do it in your room, which you could have easily since there was plenty of desk space. The only note was bathroom amenities left a bit more to be desired, as I had no bar of soap for the sink, but that's really the only (very small) downside. Would absolutely stay here again.
Disliked: My room didn't have soap for the sink in the bathroom, but only in the shower in form of a bottle with a nozzle so it was a little inconvenient, but that was the only complaint I had.

Excellent stay to discover New...

Liked: Great location next to so many subways, it was our first time visiting New York and it was the perfect destination to do it from. It was so great to come back to Brooklyn after a busy day. There are super comfortable beds, beautiful decor. On Friday and Saturday there are DJs playing soul music which was great to come back to and join in dancing. The breakfast at ‘As you are’ restaurant attached was the best we had in the city. The gym has everything you need. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Liked: I really felt at home from the moment I arrived at the Ace j Hotel all the staff members were so friendly and the hotel was truly unique. Additionally we were celebrating a birthday and they included a complementary bottle of champagne and a hand written card for the celebrant.
