I'd stay here again. It was a quiet location with few people on the streets. We went to a concert at the San Jose Civic Auditorium and it was about a mile away so we walked a quiet, peaceful walk there and back. Prices for the hotel were high because extras like parking are not mentioned until later.

Liked: Hotel was clean, attractive and the staff was pleasant. Wonderful Italian restaurant in walking distance!
Disliked: Room was attractive but very small. Only place for one suitcase if you wanted to open the case - no suitcase stand.

Disliked: Shower had minor damage that should be properly repaired, the temporary repair appeared quite old and didn’t match the quality of the rest of the facilities

I left after a few...

Liked: Water stains on the ceiling, there was a huge crack in the shower. There was no locking door on the bathroom and the barn door was see through. I left after hours of arriving it was so bad.
Disliked: See through barn door for bathroom that doesn't lock. No carpet. Felt like a psych ward.

We traveled to San Jose...

Liked: I loved the room, and the fact that there was laminate flooring and not carpet. Everything was spotless and perfect for our stay.
Disliked: The room safe didn’t work which was frustrating and the varying cost for breakfast was confusing.

Just for sleeping, not close...

Liked: Good staff and clean space. Location was perfect for visiting family in downtown San Jose.
Disliked: Sliding glass bathroom door, hospital bare room, small room for 2 king beds. 1 chair, long bench along wall, opposite beds. No desk or table

Perfect location and really enjoyed...

Liked: Room cleanliness 10/10, bed was 8/10, shower was 6/10, space was 8/10, location was 10/10. The location was PERFECT! We attended an event at the SAP Center and were able to walk every where. The show let out at 11pm and the walk back the hotel was safe and a lot of people walking the same direction. Walked to get breakfast the next morning. Great food and convenient to just about everything. Only down side is, we are a little on the older side and it's a party location. Wasn't what we were looking for but the room was quiet and didn't bother us at all. If you are looking for a party scene, I would add +1 or +2 to this rating. I would stay here again for sure.
Disliked: Didn't really have anything negative to say about our stay. We really enjoyed our trip. If I was getting REALLY knit picky, the shower doesn't have enough pressure but I have really high shower standards. Also the square toilet seat was kind of weird for me.
