Exceptional

I would return and recommend...

Liked: location was good, but understandably the construction detracted from the view. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and professional
Disliked: The bar could have been open later on the weekend.

Disappointing stay

Liked: Clean room and comfortable bed. Bar area was nice, if used, restaurant looked nice but menu was not child friendly. Valet staff were very nice.
Disliked: No locks on the bathrooms doors. Bedroom doors don’t feel like they lock securely. Table in the room was damaged and broken. Had to cross train tracks to get to town. All except one front of house staff member were rude and unhelpful. Hotel makes you pay $25 “destination fee” per day, which if you don’t spend in the hotel daily is charged to your room anyway. Not optional. Emailed management during our stay about concerns. Still waiting a response 48 hours after we have checked out.

I would stay here again.

Liked: The rooms and bathrooms were modern and very clean. I liked that staff was right at the desk even though we checked in late, 11pm! And they were very kind.
Disliked: Beds were too firm. No cups or carafes in the hydration station. Parking on street was a surprise. Valet was too expensive. I’m sure in the summer parking is real tough. I disliked the $25 destination charge. We ended up buying snacks in a hurry before we left.
