Overall good would stay agin

Exceptional

Good value for money

Liked: The AC hotel is very good value for money. The hotel is clean and the room are spacious. The breakfast is adequate. The 12th Street Downtown Oakland BART is very close; there is an entry from Clay street. There is a Subway and Popeyers on Clay very close and a nice cafe and Burger place right down the street on Jefferson, just past 14th. The proximity of the BART makes getting around easy. All in all a very good stay.
Disliked: This has nothing to do with the hotel but the city of Oakland is clearly in trouble. Most of the storefronts around the hotel are boarded up. This gives the neighbourhood a deserted feel to it. However, my daughter and I walked and forth from and to the BART station without any concern. The place just feels deserted which was strange since I expected downtown Oakland to be buzzy. Nevertheless the hotel itself is great and the immediate area is fine. No complaints about the hotel.

Liked: Clean, quiet & modern rooms. Easy check in. Made for a nice one-night stay. Breakfast was good and plentiful (not gourmet by any stretch). Oakland is a rough city but the hotel felt safe and secure.

Great value for a family,...

Liked: The hotel felt very clean and the daily breakfast was excellent! Best breakfast we have ever had at a hotel, it was different the 2 days we where there .
Disliked: No self parking, don’t waste time, valet was worth it. Oakland is a different experience from day to night. It feels dangerous when the sun sets. Wish the bathroom door was an actual door vs a sliding glass door. The glass door was pretty but no one had privacy while in the bathroom.
