AC Hotel by Marriott Manchester Salford Quays

Accommodation was 5 star; staff were welcoming and friendly; breakfast was the best ever and the room was cleaned to high standard and very complimentary.

Liked: Everything from cleanliness, staff, breakfast and bar; nothing was too much for the staff - very welcoming.
Disliked: Hotel bar is a little pricey.

Liked: Modern and clean, comfy bed & pillows, nice shower. Good amount of choices for breakfast.
Disliked: Noisy room because of traffic, noisy fridge,no shelves or drawers for clothing (only a few hangers in the wardrobe) and no knobs to hang coats on

Liked: I liked the room and the view, some of the staff were great. cleaning staff are amazing
Disliked: my key card deactivated on 3 occasions, for a while there wasn't room service available as I thought breakfast was until 10:30 but they said on the phone it stops at 10 but then they had no room service and I only wanted a coffee and a bacon roll. I stayed at the Marriott because ive had great experiences in the past but this ws sub par. the wifi was down and I flew back from Milan and I just wanted to sit and relax and watch tv. the tv wasn't even working nor could I connect my phone. I had colleagues staying in other rooms and they all received complimentary breakfasts and I was livid because I had pre paid for mine. I asked one of the receptionist where is the best place for shopping and she directed me to this awful shopping centre that looked nice but no clothes options, I had nothing to wear for the event I was supposed to go to for the conference which was excellent for networking and I couldn't go because all my clothes were not appropriate. I also said I needed gym clothes and there wasn't one shop in that place that sold mens gym shorts, I really wanted to use the gym but I couldn't. I flew from London to Milan to Manchester and the next stop is Paris so whilst im on the road I look for the best advice from the hotel staff but I was greatly disappointed.

Liked: It was well located for the Manchester Marathon.
Disliked: I had to book it at short notice after my original accommodation for the marathon fell through, and it was expensive for one night/one guest.
