AC Hotel by Marriott Inverness

Comfortable and with excelent locations

Liked: The room is very comfortable and the location is top notche
Disliked: I didn’t like the fact that the hotel doesn’t accept cash as a payment method even in its restaurant

Disliked: My room was in an adjacent building to actual hotel which was not expected and not desirable. In that building, there was only one elevator and it was broken down for my entire 4 night stay. On my second night, I arrived back from a 13 hour road trip very hungry but there was no food service. It was 9:45pm, but usually at nice hotels there is at least a limited room service menu for later hours. Was called at 10 pm one night about a 10 pound dry cleaning service though I was still staying for 2 more nights and am also not sure why they didn't charge it when they rang it up when I came to the desk to pick it up. All of my experiences with staff were disjointed. They were usually nice but seemed either learning on the job or maybe overwhelmed? Overall, not the experience I was expecting.

Beautiful riverside stay in hotel...

Liked: A lovely hotel. The staff were great, rooms clean and well appointed and a fab location. Loved the proximity to the train station, gym, riverside location and the restaurant on site was a wonderful experience. We were really impressed and enjoyed our stay.

Great location

Liked: Comfortable and clean. Great location, close to center and restaurantes. The staff were very nice.

When will hotels understand that...

Liked: The breakfast had everything we liked. The small egg cups were a nice touch. The pastries were nice too. The pleasant young woman at the counter was so helpful when we had a tear in one of our suitcases and she was able to store our luggage until we needed it. We liked that we could get a cup of soup in mid afternoon after eating a terribly sweet pancake lunch in town.
Disliked: Our view. We also would prefer no duvet on the bed because it was too hot with the duvet. We strip it out and use just the sheet casing to sleep in. It’s too bad we have to improve our own bed when we paid so much money for a bed that doesn’t get so hot.
