Overall, the stay was wonderful....

Liked: We loved the breakfast— it had many options to choose from. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Not putting the drinks in the fridge beforehand for us to purchase— this limited our fridge space.

Superb

Liked: Typical Marriott quality. Small bar with tapas available if you don't want to travel into city. Location near Atocha train station, but not easy to walk to city center or to metro.

Excellent Location & Modern Comfort...

Liked: This is smart, modern hotel is a great all rounder! The reception staff were genuinely helpful and polite throughout our stay and was able to arrange early access to our room which was unexpected. The room was spacious, very quiet and comfortable with a coffee maker - exactly what you need after long days sightseeing. And, If you opt to have breakfast you can expect a large selection of hot & cold dishes all super tasty and well presented. The winner however is the hotel's location. Unlike a lot of suburbs next to major train stations, this one is actually really nice. It feels safe and is full of local cafes and tapas bars. For museum lovers this location is perfect as The Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza, and Reina Sofía are all just 10-15 minutes on foot - no taxis or buses needed. There are also two gorgeous parks to explore when it gets too hot.

Good location for train station...

Liked: Air conditioning was excellent very quiet. Location very close and convenient to train station. Christian very helpful providing ice.
Disliked: Room was dark and strange configuration with a Shower in a box in the middle. Very little privacy. Also to get to room you had to go on two lifts and walk two corridors.
