Very enjoyable stay

Liked: Central location. Accommodating staff. Very good bar.

Liked: Good location and within walking distance from the train station. Eateries and shoppings all close to hotel.
Disliked: As it is in the city centre, it can get quite noisy with teenagers partying and singing just outside the hotel.

Expected more, a little disappointed

An excellent hotel in the...

Liked: I was glad of my quiet room at the back as Canterbury High Street can get a bit rowdy at night. Very welcoming and courteous staff who are knowledgable about the local area. Excellent meals at Brasserie Abode. The aubergine tagine and mini chorizos were particularly wonderful.
Disliked: Cold whipped cod souffle arrived at the same time as hot sausage ragu on the first night as this is a tapas-style restaurant. This is not ideal so you might want to ask your waiter to structure your meal. There was a long - 30-minute - wait for cooked breakfast on the last day but this is not enough to put one off wanting to return here.

Liked: Breakfast was very good.Staff were excellent, friendly and charming.Room was small however was comfortable, even if no "luxury" about it.Bathroom was very small, with one narrow glass shelf over the sink, nowhere to put toiletries for two people, therefore had to put toilet bag on floor - not ideal.Location - excellent. Even though on main street this was pedestrianised so no traffic noise.
Disliked: Size of bathroomLack of space for "things"Would choose a better room next time.Couldn't get into hotel carpark (no space) and paid £90 for 3 days parking - ouch!Need to factor in when staying here!
