An excellent heritage hotel in...

Liked: Superb welcome from the staff and high levels of hospitality. A wonderful breakfast served in the breakfast room or outside on the pretty patio. Quiet, extremely comfortable rooms, a relaxing library and access 24 hours to tea and excellent coffee in the lounge. Easy walking distance to the waterfront and convenient parking on site. Highly recommended.

Liked: The breakfast was a highlight for us. Walking distance to the harbour and very comfy bed.
Disliked: Whilst the older style suits the area and gives the hotel character, in practical terms it didn’t suit us. The bathroom was the size of a broom cupboard, the light switches/plugs were in a weird spot the sink was in the bedroom. I can see the appeal for an older couple but maybe just not for us.

Would absolutely stay here again,...

Liked: Fantastic breakfast, exceeded expectations. What a treat!
Disliked: Hotel would not accommodate an early check in nor a late check out despite asking early with plenty of notice. I understand their reasoning but was slightly disappointed nonetheless!

Liked: The old-time feel of the hotel, very "Victoria", old-fashioned approach to service. The decor. The included breakfast, cute snack in the room. Attention to details.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: It was small and personal and beautifully kept. The little touches made during the stay showed that the hosts really cared about their guests.
Disliked: Nothing

Very comfortable hotel

Liked: Nice hotel room, big comfortable bed and bathroom with bubble bath. Very good breakfast. Walking distance from old town.
Disliked: Our room was located next to a busy street. Quiet at night but noisy in the morning, during the day.
