Aberdeen Douglas Hotel

Liked: Everything about the hotel was excellent - the lovely entrance area; well appointed room with everything thought of for the traveller, even an iron and board! The bed was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely amazing - the most generous spread we have ever seen in any B&B situation! The staff were all bright, cheerful, helpful and very professional. We highly recommend this hotel.
Disliked: Very limited car parking and difficult to stop outside. We parked overnight in a car park recommended a 5 minute walk away, for which the hotel gave us a 20% discount card. From 7.30 p.m. to 11 a.m. the next day the cost was £11.40.

Liked: Really near the centre of everything in Aberdeen
Disliked: The room was absolutely boiling , like 30 degrees plus die to air convection from an industrial fan right outside our window at the side of the building and it was vibrating. The whole room was vibrating and it was actually like you were moving. Could not have a bath as the overflow wasn't connected properly causing reception to say there was a leak occurring below us!! When explained to reception on leaving rather than a simple apology we just got told oh the 4th floor is always warm as heat rises!! No fan offered and when I explained that actually the hallway outside the room was cooler but our room was so uncomfortably hot no apology and when I said about the noise and the really pronounced vibrating I don't get an answer , just a snigger....they absolutely knew that floor and that room was not right, but just actually smirked and tried to treat us like idiots. It was definitely not on...the hotel itself is okay location wise but that room was awful and to have an Industrial air fan at the side of our room constantly blowing and vibrations causing our room to actually move was just a joke
