A comfortable night in a...

Liked: This Hotel is in a good location in a quiet country village. Check in was easy enough in the bar. I had a peaceful overnight here in a tranquil surroundings. The TV worked fine and there was tea-making equipment, fridge and microwave in the room. Nice to have a beer in the public bar downstairs
Disliked: I’ve stayed at this hotel several times now. On a previous visit there had been annoying noise from the bar which is open until 1am. Some cleaning work needs to be done in public areas but the bedroom itself was ‘ok’. Generally there’s a ‘tired’ look and feel to the place. The shower was problematic - difficult to control water temperature. Booking.com gave me a discount price for the room; without that I’d have considered the hotel overpriced.

Great night’s sleep.

Liked: Amazing value for money. Friendly staff. Interesting old building. Bike storage. Microwave, fridge, kettle and telly in the room. Comfortable bed. Room not too hot. I had a great sleep. Not too posh for grubby mountain bikers.
Disliked: A bit shabby.

Good for stopover.

Liked: As a one night stop over The Aberdeen fitted our needs. A cheap bed for the night.Our room 1 whilst on the road was quiet, clean and comfortable. The bathroom functional but in need of work.A bar onsite with a good selection of drinks.No food but pud and a cafe just a short stroll so wasn’t an issue.Wifi was available but couldn’t connect in our room.
