I enjoyed my stay and I am planning on coming back. Very handy for local transport. Very, very clean rooms and building and lovely, helpful staff.
Liked: Immaculately clean; very handy for train/bus station.
Disliked: A bit noisy of a night (doors) - nothing you can't sleep through.

Liked: Great value for money. Good location. Comfortable room.
Disliked: You check in at 1 pm and have to check out at 11am instead of at 1pm following day.

Threadbare, blood stained mattress, communal...
Liked: Very cheap but you can get better value. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean.
Disliked: The beds were threadbare, collapsed and had a larger smear of blood, a very uncomfortable night. The sheets were clean but very small flat sheets with no mattress protector exposed the dirty old mattress. As an alone woman, I did not feel comfortable, the toilets were mixed gender and the shower room was 3 lockable stalls with gaps above and below and the only thing stopping a man coming in was a sign on the door. The corridors were deserted, long and dark with automatic lights coming on only after you passed. One mattress had 4 small black spots on it, evidence of an early bedbug infestation. Both the cleaner and the manager told me they definitely didn't have bedbugs without even looking at the mattress. I stayed in a slightly more expensive chain hotel a few weeks before and woke to a very similar spot on the sheets. There was no other evidence of an infestation, but they took the room offline and got experts in who found an early infestation. The cleaner and manager at Abercorn patronisingly told me what a bedbug infestation looked like but were talking about a severe infestation and didn?t seem to understand that just one dried blood spot indicates an early infestation. The cleaner told me the rooms were thoroughly cleaned only for me to open the fridge and find some old food in it.The beds, walls, doors etc. were old and damaged.I had to stay as I arrived late at night and they were fully booked. I contacted the hotel by email to complain, which they ignored. When I finally spoke to the manager he did not apologise or offer a refund but only another stay in the hotel, an offer I was not willing to take up.
