Abel Heywood Boutique Hotel

Hotel situated close to trams, which made it easy to reach Co-op Arena and Piccadilly station. Standard of hotel not great. Dusty bedroom and broken electric reader which meant we had no lights.

Liked: Food in the bar and breakfast.
Disliked: Reception staff not very welcoming. Bedroom was dusty. Issue with broken electrics in the bedroom which meant we had no lights overnight and morning which proved difficult when using en-suite facilities. Also not informed how to access the hotel on return from the performance.

The Abel Heywood was a fantastic hotel. Room was amazing, staff very friendly and location ideal for exploring. Will definitely book again.

We’ve found a little gem

Liked: A fantastic characterful place to stay, the pub, the hotel, the food were all excellent. This is the only hotel we will use in Manchester from now on
Disliked: The toilet roll holder was rather awkward to use when required

Liked: Very spacious room. Lovely staff, very informative. Clean and modern room. Lovely bathroom. In a good location not far from Manchester Victoria station. Security on the door at night which made us feel safer. Would definitely stay here again.

A welcome, central place to...

Liked: It was very central, surprisingly quiet at night (considering its location) and felt safe once in. Nice decor and a contemporary bathroom. Warm welcome from receptionist.
Disliked: The room was quite small for the three of us (one on the sofa bed). Felt the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner around surfaces and the back of door etc. The central location was fine and handy although it felt a little dodgy after hours with me being a mum with two teenage daughters.

Liked: The location was superb! It's literally 2 mins from the high street and easy to find. The hotel was very clean, well presented and tastefully decorated. The staff were so helpful and kind. We were able to find out about transport links ( to the Coop Live Arena), store luggage and even assist with a mobile phone issue I was having. I will definitely be staying here again. The pub below had a classy vibe with drinks reasonably priced and the food looked great. Clearly a popular haunt for those in the know, but surprisingly quiet to sleep at night. 10/10
