Enjoyed my stay housekeepers need...

Liked: I really enjoyed the scenery and the nearby town of Nashville. I enjoyed the new renovated room. My grandchildren loved the indoor pool. The Easter buffet was good. The staff were all nice and friendly.
Disliked: Our room the floor was so dirty it turned grandkids socks were black on bottom. The pool was closed several hours l believe 4/21 due to training it doesn't open until 1100am so why didn't they have training before and not on the guests time to enjoy. The Easter buffet was good but pretty pricey especially for children.

Liked: We enjoyed the pool and water slide. Our room was clean and comfy. We also enjoyed hiking the trails.
Disliked: Nothing. All was good!

It was a good stay....

Liked: Our room was in the renovated east wing and it was very nice. Very comfortable. It was a large room. It had a nice view of the trees. There was one comfy chair. A second comfy chair would have easily fit in the room and would have been appreciated. Bathroom was clean and bright. Getting the TV to work was a bit of a challenge, but eventually we figured it out. Staff was friendly. I enjoyed learning about Kin Hubbard and his well-known comic strip character Abe Martin. That was a plus.
Disliked: Well, the LODGE could use some carefully applied fresh paint in the common areas. And, it is Spring and it is time to pulls some weeds. The RESTAURANT is okay, not great. One night I had a cheeseburger. It was pretty good. Another night, I had the pot roast sandwich, which was another good choice. Breakfast was okay. My wife did not like her restaurant choices. We came to hike the TRAILS. There are some good ones. However, Trail #3 near the lodge was disappointing. Why it goes along a road is beyond me. Trail #5 needs some attention. The trails signs need to be replaced or repainted. And, trail maps need to be kept in the box at the trail head.

Disliked: The pool area was closed for a “training” from 5pm-7pm. Thought it could have been closed at a different time where most guest were already checked out or haven’t check in yet and not at a peek swim time. We got to swim from 5pm to 6pm and then the lifeguard needed everyone to get out of the pool for a 15 minute break. That seemed unnecessary since the pool had just opened at 5pm. Then we could only swim for another 45 minutes. That was the only night we were staying at the lodge so it was disappointing since the pool was barely open.

Liked: The location is great! the room was large and recently remodeled. The food at the restaurant was pretty good.
Disliked: The bed was not very comfortable and the bathroom was small.
