Beautifully presented hotel

Liked: The hotel, bedroom and gardens were beautifully presented. A lot of care has gone into the details within the hotel. The staff were exceptionally polite and efficient.The breakfast was made up of some local produce.Parking on site was easy. It is a perfect place for a wedding.
Disliked: The bathroom layout meant it was rather difficult to go to the toilet without catching yourself on the sink. The sink was very low, which made it less comfortable to use (I'm 5ft 4 inches).The hotel caters for weddings, which was wonderful to see. The only concern was that on our first night, the wedding guests were enjoying themselves until 4.30 a.m., which meant that we got very little sleep that night. I would recommend that non-wedding guests are located on different floors to wedding guests. Overall, breakfast on the first day was very good quality. On the second morning, we ordered eggs Benedict. I'm afraid the eggs were either overcooked or undercooked, and the sauce was bland. We were unable to finish our breakfasts that morning. We could have brought this to the attention of staff, but we're happy to eat the toast offered, which was very nice. I would also recommend any written instructions for serving staff to follow are not visible to guests as you enter Oscars and wait to be seated. It may be negatively received by some customers, if they were to read it.

Liked: Room decor and bed was very comfortable with all the extras needed, good selection of hot drinks and water
Disliked: Our room was 2 floors above the dance floor, where a wedding was taking place, this was noisy, which we was informed about, but a lot of wedding guests on our floor, so there was a lot of commotion and doors banging from midnight to 1am ish, then it quietened down, so we didn’t really have a quite room.It would have been nice if we was in another area away from wedding guests.

Liked: Beautiful house , gardens . Immaculately designed and built in a beautiful place.Immaculately clean and staff are outstanding in every way. Could not have asked for a better experience. Extremely good value for money. The price per night is very reasonable for the 5 star experience.
Disliked: Nothing not to like .

Pleasant, distinctive and enjoyable place.

Liked: Standard of decor. Onsite facilities. Friendly and chatty staff.
Disliked: Train noise a little bit distracting but didn’t detract from the stay.

Not happy

Liked: The setting and staff are great
Disliked: We was put in a room above the kitchen, there was an extracter running all night and we could not sleep and also the staff from the kitchen where smoking and this fill our room with cigarette smell and as none smokers this was not present and to top it off the kitchen staff have very interesting conversations right up till the kitchen closed. We payed alot of money to stay here and we don't have much. We told the receptionist and they could not move us and they said they would get the manager to call us but we are still waiting for a phone call. We feel that this hotel is happy to take your hard earned cash but when someone is not happy you are just ignored.It's a shame as its a beautiful location and the food was lovely and floor staff.
