Well

Liked: The facilities (pool, gym, spa), the surroundings, and just the estate itself. The male bar staff member for the event is attended and the staff that served food were brilliant.
Disliked: The service at the bar: My wife was passed over by the bar staff, and when the manager intervened, she still passed over her and her sister, and eventually, after 30 mins, they were served. The most uncomfortable thing and why I have rated so low was the absence of air condition and a room fridge to keep cold water in. The fan in the room did not cool the room down. During the wedding reception and birthday celebrations, the air condition was not working in the reception area. Lastly, we were nearly running over at the zebra crossing by a member of your staff and had no remorse for their actions as they ignored my alarm at their actions.

Adequate accommodation for our stay...

Liked: Breakfast was very good.Staff were friendly and helpful.Room was clean.Generally, the bathroom was clean.
Disliked: Mattress was uncomfortable...severe 'roll together'.Bedside lights - only 1 out of 3 were working.Towel rail was filthy in bathroom...thick layer of greasy dust all over it, although rest of bathroom was clean.

Liked: Nothing i paid for my stay in advance to travel there get into my room then find out there was a wasp nest on my balcony which has been there for a while as it was so developed clearly the staff/cleaners do not clean and inspect the rooms and balconys properly as it was missed God knows how as there was thousands of wasp flying into the nest could have been a very different situation very dangerous

Disliked: The jacuzzi was broken and the pie doesn’t come with mash

Good hotel for a short...

Liked: Room was a very good size and was comfortable for adults. We were very impressed with the swimming pool, steam room and jacuzzi and loved the aspect overlooking the golf course. The roof top terrace was great.
Disliked: Parts of the room were a little tired, eg very scratched headboard. Food offering mid afternoon was disappointing, we had wanted to share a pizza, but this was not available, so we had to have toasted sandwiches which were expensive for what they were. I was also disappointed with how the hotel handled an issue I had with the jacuzzi. After sitting in the jacuzzi my swimming costume had colour bleached out of it. I did report this to both the spa and hotel reception whilst I was there. The hotel reception said they could not help, it would have to be resolved by the spa management. I left my details with the spa reception and I have subsequently called but have not been contacted by the hotel. I like to give companies the right to resolve a situation before giving feedback, however 2 weeks has now elapsed which I think is plenty of time for the hotel to have been in touch.
