Located on the main square of the beautiful coastal town of Donegal the 3-star Abbey Hotel is located right next to Donegal Castle. The hotel offers free WiFi throughout the hotel and a restaurant using fresh Irish produce. Comfortable bedrooms each feature a flat-screen TV telephone and individual private bathroom. Most rooms also overlook Donegal Bay and the River Eske. The hotel restaurant The Market House has a menu of excellent international cuisine. Very busy day in Donegal...

Liked: Room spacious and comfortable bed
Disliked: Radiator right beside toilet . No net curtain on window.

Enjoyed the stay but slightly...

Liked: Location superb. Room very comfortable.
Disliked: Breakfast very average. Restaurant wasn't opened at night so Bar Menu only available.

Decent, well-run hotel in the...

Liked: We liked its location in “The Diamond” - the central square in Donegal town. It was near the pubs, restaurants, and the Castle.
Disliked: The decor was a little stuffy and old fashioned, but clean. The room was spacious.

Liked: Great location to all historic locations. Short walking distance to everything, I'm really glad we didn't have a car as parking anywhere near the hotel would be impossible.
