Nice hotel, great location, pity...

Liked: Location excellent, close to train station and ferry terminal . Very comfortable beds, good breakfast, quiet at night.
Disliked: The room was painted entirely with dark green paint, including the ceiling, so the room was quite dark. When booking several months previously, I asked for 3 things - a quiet room, on a high floor, and with 2 single beds. When we arrived at reception, the (very nice) lady there seemed to have no prior knowledge of my requests. She allocated us a room , and just to be sure I mentioned one of the above requests - she then searched again on her computer, and came up with a different room. This was repeated twice more, until finally after about 15 minutes she came up with a room that was more or less what we had asked for.My point is, that the system of allocating rooms in this hotel seems to ignore any special requests that customers place when booking. (I know that there is no guarantee that special requests will be met - but in this case we booked months in advance, the hotel was not full, and the receptionist clearly had no idea that there were any such requests attached to our reservation.)

Liked: Lovely soap and shower, lovely comfortable room, friendly staff
Disliked: pay at the property meant I had to pay at 7am while getting my taxi to airport

Great location for ferry users.

Liked: Great location. Staff were extremely helpful, ensuring we got a parking space right outside the hotel. The sockets in our room stopped working and we were given a new room straight away. Lovely breakfast, lots of choice great value for money.
Disliked: Slight smell of drains

Santander has interesting Cathedral good...

Liked: Very close to Bus station. staff helpful and friendly
Disliked: No Bar or restaurant for the price paid

Help waking up....thankfully

Liked: Friendly staff again. Especially as I asked for alarm call to get first bus to airport.However room phone wasn't working, thankfully receptionist checked once I was in room, but too late for housekeeping..so night staff were asked to phone my mobile and rap on door...which they duly did.Got early bus...saved a taxi fare!
Disliked: Room phone not working Wifi in room costs extra
