Wonderful place to stay when...

Liked: The staff at Abasto Hotel were fantastic—they were generous with suggestions about using Munich transit & places to visit. The parking was secure & easy to use. Breakfast was really good. We enjoyed the bar & restaurant—great vibe! The hotel is only a two-minute walk (literally!) to the station that includes subway & train service to downtown Munich & the airport. Just an all around excellent stay!
Disliked: There was nothing not to like.

A Disappointing Start to Our...

Disliked: Our arrival at the hotel was quite chaotic. After a long and exhausting journey, we had to change rooms twice, which was far from ideal. The first room was heavily filled with cigarette smoke and had an extra bed that we hadn’t requested. The second room wasn’t properly cleaned—there were hairs and other signs of poor housekeeping, especially in the bathroom. We were quite disappointed that the hotel didn’t offer any sort of gesture, not even a welcome drink, to make up for the poor first impression.The overall condition of the room was also underwhelming. The walls were noticeably dirty and in need of a fresh coat of paint. By that point, we simply didn’t have the energy to keep asking for another room.Parking was another issue. Since we had a larger car with a roof box, we weren’t able to use the on-site parking, which was reportedly full. We ended up having to search for public parking late in the evening.All in all, our stay started on a very negative note, and the hotel should seriously consider improving how they welcome and accommodate guests upon arrival.

Good accomodation

Liked: The location was great, it was just opposite of the metro station (u2,s1). The food and drinks served for breakfast were sufficient,fresh and tasty. Room was large and comfortable enough.
Disliked: The floor in the room could be neater.

We enjoyed our stay and...

Liked: The hotel is bright, airy and modern. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with hot and cold foods as well as pastries, cereals and fruit. The room was a good size with comfortable beds and nicely appointed bathroom with walk-in shower. The hotel is surprisingly quiet as it is situated close to a railway and underground station. The train goes to the airport in about 30 minutes and 20 mins to Munich centre. Dachau is 25mins by bus and BMW World and museum 25 mins by tube. German efficiency at its best!
Disliked: The room could have been a little bigger, but is more than adequate if you don't have too much luggage.
