AArtpark Hotel Inn at Lewsiton

Great location!

Liked: Walking distance to Artpark - it's right at the park entrance.
Disliked: Really smelly. The guest rooms had been updated recently I believe, and our room was clean; however, the carpet on the stairs and in the hallway was really stained, old and smelled awful.

Liked: The location is awesome, within walking distance of many restaurants and cute shops. I was able to park right outside my room. Was pretty quiet. The place had functioning AC which was essential with the 90° heat. The staff at checkin was really nice but that's all the interaction I had with anyone there.
Disliked: The whole place has the deep saturated stench of a wet moldy rag pile left in a basement. Just a constant feeling of dampness in the room as well. The beds were comfortable and no bugs anywhere, just smelled bad enough we bought bottles of febreze from the local grocery store. Thankfully we didn't spend any more time in the room other than to sleep.

I read reviews prior to...

Liked: We had a quick check-in. And although we were told there weren't any early check-in's, we got in half an hour early, which was nice. The room had great A/C. It was a scorcher of a day. We felt safe and our car was parked right outside our room.
Disliked: There isn't any breakfast here. Please remove "breakfast included" from the listing, it's false advertising. All the equipment is covered up in garbage bags and there is a note "NO BREAKFAST" when you check in. Staff isn't overly friendly on the phone or in person- I felt like I was inconveniencing them. And, the lobby attendant had changed into pajamas when I came back to ask for washcloths at 4:30 pm! The room itself had been vacuumed (although corners and around furniture were very visibly dirty), and there were new towels (no washcloths) and sheets, thankfully. The bathroom floor was filthy- there were a clump of hairs in each corner. GROSS. WE WORE OUR SANDALS IN THE SHOWER bc the bathroom itself needed a total bleach spray treatment. The bar fridge had food crumbs from prior guests in it and around it. Some electrical sockets worked, others didn't. Unfortunately, the ones next to the beds didn't. When we checked out the lobby was closed and guests were to "leave the keys in the mailbox outside" as per a scribbled note on the door. They don't want to hear check out complaints, obviously.

Liked: There was no breakfast.
Disliked: Broken toilet paper dispenser. Had to search for the quarter roll. No kleenex. Only one tiny shampoo.Room was for handicap with dirty railings on the toilet. Dirty looking pillow cases. Just overall bad! TV didnt work properly!

Great location and great price....

Liked: 1st it was SO close to our destination (Artpark). It was right at the entrance! The room was fine for a night or two stay. It was clean, beds were comfortable. Sink area was clean. Bathroom/tub was ok. Had a slight mildew smell, but for a quick shower, no problem. A/C worked fine. Overall, would definately stay again. Town of Lewiston was a quaint little, interesting town!
Disliked: Small things, like the shower water pressure could have been better, the pillows not so squishy and the cable tv stopped working for us. Bathroom smelled a little musty. They did not have any breakfast accommodations, but there is a restaurant (Syros) real close by, for breakfast (actually open all day during the week). We were just at the motel to sleep after a concert at the Artpark.

Disliked: Decor was a little dated. I also don’t like that the exterior door was not secure—anyone could come in. It did not like.

Just barely ok.

Liked: It was cheap!
Disliked: Ok for a quick overnight. No wash clothes. The smallest bed pillows I've ever seen. I had to clean the coffee pot before I used it. The wall socket between the beds had no over over it and the socket itself was pushed into the wall. The clock was just setting on the bed stand with no where to plug it in. No continental breakfast as advertised. No one working at the front desk when I wanted to check out. Office was looked with a note on the door to just put the door key cards in the box

Don't book this place

Liked: If you mistakenly stay once, you won't go back. Checked out three days early. Guy at the front desk told us to have the booking company request a refund on our behalf and he would process it. Did as he stated, no credit or refund given.
Disliked: Everything, old and sketchy. Not very clean. Needs a major upgrade. Take a bulldozer to it and start over. The location is ok.
