A Cambridge House Inn

An excellent older Victorian home on Massachusettes Avenue in Cambridge about 1 1/2 miles from Harvard Square. The staff was very attentive upon arrival. The room was plush with details reminiscent of it's time. A beautiful four poster queen sized bed in the center of the room was extremely comfortable. The room itself was well decorated and felt very homey.

Disliked: Gas fire place in room was not operating.

Liked: the room was a nice size. older furnishings and the light fixture in the bathroom was missing. it was quite suitable for a quick visit to boston. nice that it had a small fridge and microwave

Convenient location, clean and comfortable...

Liked: We appreciate the free and ample parking, the proximity to Porter Square and Davis Square, the convenience of having Pemberton Farms and its excellent coffee, groceries and prepared foods right across the street, the large dining area and coffee available at Cambridge House Inn, as well as the clean and comfortable rooms.

Liked: It was a convenient location just down the street from Harvard, MIT and Boston. Good sized rooms.
Disliked: Just coffee on a b&b? When we asked the manager about recommendations for local restaurants, he had no clue. Note: American Flatbread about a block away was awesome. The shower had water so strong it hurt. As in you could not stand in it. A simple shower-head change would fix it.

Liked: For the price and location, it can't be beat. We stay in the next door building which is a little cheaper, but we still have access to the common area in the Victorian house. It is clean and comfortable, perfect for a quick stay, and includes parking.
Disliked: I don't mind this at all, but for info purposes, the furniture is often worn and mismatched. Again, this is in the next door building, not the Victorian rooms. We've stayed here twice. The bed is always comfortable, everything in the room functions, just don't expect nice decor.
