Located in the heart of Cheltenham 81 The Prom Guest house offers free parking and free WiFi. The world famous Cheltenham Racecourse is 1 and half mile from the hotel. Set in a grade 2 listed building the property retains some original features. Accessed by stairs only each room at 81 The Prom has an private bathroom with free toiletries a flat-screen TV tea/coffee making facilities and views of the town. Some rooms boast a seating area and a balcony. Rooms can be accessed via stairs only and may not be suitable to people with mobility problems. A hearty breakfast is served daily and it includes full English or continental options. Montpellier district is a 2-minute walk away with a variety of shops and bars. Established in 19th century Pittville Pump Room formerly a spa building now hosts concerts and exhibitions and it is located 1 mile from the hotel. The medieval Sudeley Castle is 8 miles from the property.

Excellent location but dated rooms,...

Liked: Excellent location, which is why we chose this hotel.Comfortable bed and excellent host.
Disliked: It was in a converted Georgian property so not a modern hotel and the tiny ensuite was built within the large bedroom.The decor was very dated or probably just not to our taste, carpets, curtains etc all clashing.

excrement stay will return for...

Liked: Location was excellent. the host was super friendly and place was spotlessly clean.
Disliked: nothing to be honest there are lots of stairs as we were on the top floor

Comfortable stay with friendly hosts.

Liked: The hosts were friendly and arranged a late check-in with no problems. The room was clean and breakfast was good.

Perfect as a stop off...

Liked: The owners were very friendly and helpful, even moving their car so that we could have free parking. The proximity of the hotel was amazing. Right in the heart of the city, overlooking a row of high class shops and trees, beautiful! The breakfast was comprehensive with a good range of cold starters and cooked food. The view from the dining room was the tree lined city centre shops.
Disliked: The decor was a little old fashioned and not the best I have stayed in.

Excellent accommodation in a very...

Liked: The location is excellent and the Promenade has an easy going 'continental' feel. It's within easy walking distance of the the Minster, parks and gardens. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order.
Disliked: Although not a problem for us, parking could be difficult for some people. There are public parking spaces (metered) in the road outside the property but for a maximum stay of 2 hours. The property covers the cost of parking from 16.00 (earliest check-in on day of arrival) until 11.00 (latest check-out on day of departure) so - if you arrive before 14.00 - they would be a period not covered by personal payment. Parking is free from 18.00 until 08.00 the following morning and most guests arrive after 16.00 so not an issue.
