Appalling that we were not...
Disliked: Accommodation wasn’t open. Was closed down months ago and many people have arrived to stay there and been very disappointed

Liked: They canceled at the last minute and still took my money and have refused to answer emails and phone calls . Booking. Com has done nothing either. I spent the night in a gym as had no car and due to Springsteen concert all other hotels were booked and I had already paid 120 . Despicable

Pleasant stay
Liked: The location was perfect. We had a close event so was great. The hotel recently changed hands so communication between booking.com and the new owners was difficult. Any issues I had were resolved promptly and professionally. I cannot fault the new owners. I think once the renovations are finished and the new owners bedded in, this place will be tip top again. Good luck to them.
Disliked: There was clearly teething and snagging issues with the rooms and booking payments but as I say the new owners listened and acted very promptly. If booking again I would be clear to ask have the renovations been made and finished. I cannot fault the staff and would gladly recommend them to others.

Disappointing
Liked: Friendly staff doing their best. Good central location.
Disliked: Keys wouldn’t work, had to go up and down three times. No toilet rolls or many basics in the room. Very dated and stuffy in the rooms.

Liked: Nothing as the hotel cancel our room day before arrival and after taking our money for room still no refund 17 days later. Hotel has been closed down since February yet still taking money off people .

Liked: the property was shut on arrival imagine the shock my wife and daughter I hadthe hotel next door said that a hen party had previously been similarly shocked and disappointed
Disliked: it was shut previous booking.com messages from the property gave no impression of the shock that it was shut

Liked: Very hard to review a hotel that was closed for business. Obviously I didn't stay in this hotel as it was cancelled by booking.com.before I travelled. I have sent numerous emails bout this but have not got any satisfactory replies . Booking.com.customer service beyond bad. Disgraceful way to treat people.
Disliked: I did not like being taken for a fool by booking.com.being told that my booking was cancelled because of a technical issue obviously a lie being told I wud be contacted within 3 hours with a response..I did not like the stress caused by trying to find alternative accomodation and the extra cost.

Liked: I paid for this place only to find it was closed was left with no accommodation for my trip to Liverpool I hqve no been refunded my 292 pound. Heartbroken I was booking.com or this hotel have been in contact to refund me.
