A great time in Liverpool

Liked: The property was well placed and the room was much bigger than expected!
Disliked: The thing I didn’t like was that there was a big jacuzzi bath but no plug, so this facility couldn’t be used.

If post apocalyptic rundown is...

Liked: Honestly, I liked leaving. There is no feeling like checking into your hotel and dropping your bags, a quick freshen up and off out you head to explore… I can tell you what is a rather strange experience however! The doors of the hotel being bolted (top and bottom bolt) requiring physical intervention from the staff should you wish to enter or leave. A ring door bell placed on the outside of the building should you wish to get back in. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. I’d had the please of nipping out just before me and my missus headed out so I got to see her full reaction absolutely comedy gold when she realised we had been bolted in… A solid security feature really in keeping with the times
Disliked: Staff were short and unfriendly on arrival as if they hadn’t seen people in years which is probably true after seeing the hotel. From the get go the building is dated and run down and not in a cute characteristic way, in a more we don’t have an onsite cleaner kind of way. If the trip up to the room doesn’t scare you with the collapse ceilings, peeling paint, broken fixtures and a carpet that looks like it predated the building with the amount of stains on it… Well then you’ll get to the room. My Spacious, but drastically lacking cleanliness. There were two couches in the room both of which were sunken in the middle and the arms must have been mauled by a tiger I’ve seen more fabric on a stripper. In the large area between the two couches, blood spatters all over the floor. It’s a good thing we could retire to the stained beds. Beds which I can only say had rising damp from the cracked windows, strains and a mattress made out of crate paper. Absolutely horrendous. Never fear, you can freshen up before you head out haha! One thing I did really like was the water feature in the bathroom, it provided a lovely calming experience during my stay. In all honesty how was I to know it was just a broken tap which couldn’t be turned off? Bath/shower taps also missing the actual head of the taps, cladding above the bath coming away, paint missing, stains I’ve honestly never seen a room in such a condition you should be entirely ashamed.
