Liked: It was useful that one of our apartment units was close to the laundry. It was fairly clean despite being very run down. The receptionist was very friendly on our arrival, although lied that the reason they couldn't waive the booking change fee was because of booking.com when I know it is at the hotel/motels discretion. As a result we kept our booking for 3 nights instead of reducing to 2.
Disliked: This place has deteriorated massively since we last stayed here 11 years ago. We were put in 2 tiny apartments opposite sides of the motel. One of them had a temperamental stovetop which we were blamed for pushing the sticking out button in which blew the power out to that apartment. The other one had a difficult door to unlock and a fridge that kept sealing itself closed. The Wi-Fi is crap and cuts in and out. The TVs are very old with no wifi/digital connection. The bathroom fans and heaters were very noisy and sound like they are broken. The floor smells of cigarettes. For the price I definitely would not stay here again. So sad after having an opposite experience here when we first moved to Christchurch. Advertised as 4 stars I wouldn't even rate as 1 star.

Disliked: Noisy fan in Bathroom, cold bedrooms, it took a bit to bring up to temperature

Liked: Handy to the mall and restaurants on Riccarton rd, have stayed a couple times recently. Beds have been comfy and the lady who has checked us in has been lovely and friendly.

Liked: The staff were exceptionally helpful and supportive. They took the time to listen to our concerns and offered assistance whenever we needed it. We are truly grateful for their kindness.

Liked: Great location. Staff very supportive when I had to leave early.Comfy bed, I slept very well.
Disliked: The microwave had been turned off, so had to bring it out of the cupboard to put plug into socket.
