Great stay & location, easy...

Liked: Perfect Location, very clean and lovely decorated room. we booked one of the bigger rooms to allow us some more space, which was necessary as it turned out that our mid-sized suitcase would not fit under the bed and the bathroom was still quite small. Nevertheless really comfortable and we loved staying there!
Disliked: Amgad was very helpful and we could reach him anytime via the booking chat. Nevertheless, I was a bit disappointed to see that the service (and presumably, the owner), changed since our last visit in 2023. We remembered a very lovely host on site who offered home-cooked breakfast and helpful advice and recommendations during our stay. So we looked forward to seeing the former host again. At our arrival, it was clear that something had changed as no one was on site to welcome us and show us to our room. We saw nobody in person during the whole stay which made the whole experience a bit impersonal and felt more like an Airbnb booking rather than a Guesthouse.

Liked: A very interesting period property that has been modernised to make it very comfortable and homely. Check in and check out was easy and Amgad was incredibly helpful with any requests. The location was perfect, close to the beach and shops, but I also found it quiet and restful.

Liked: An elegant small hotel. The room was beautifully furnished, with lovely art work and antique furniture.
Disliked: Nothing really. It was just what I needed for an overnight stay.

Easy access in - good...

Liked: Easy access in - good communication- perfect location for Kemptown and Brighton and the sea - compact but very clean and well kitted out. Very polite host when we needed to speak to him.
Disliked: I’m old fashioned enough to still miss a host on-site who takes you to the room!

A lovely day in Brighton

Liked: A perfect stay. Everything we needed was provided in the room which was very clean. Sky TV, coffee maker and kettle, toiletries. Even an iron and ironing board - and in the current heatwave, the fan was very useful.Room was lovely, comfortable and bright. Amgad (host) was super easy to communicate with and very friendly.

Exceptional

Liked: Very friendly. Responded very quickly to a problem. Great service.
Disliked: Having an instantaneous water heater directly in the shower is unusual, but it worked.

Great value in a convenient...

Liked: Great location - easy to walk down James Street to centre of town and short walk to sea front. Although a compact room it had everything needed and a very helpful manager that helped with the parking possibilities.
Disliked: The only tricky thing is that the staircase is very narrow so tricky to get a big suitcase up - I was glad I was only one floor up.
