Royal Terrace a quiet cobbled street is just a short walk from the buzz of the city. This stylish boutique hotel has the added touch of the owner's ever-changing art collection and a dedicated whiskey bar serving rare and unique scotch malt whiskey and adding a new chapter to Royal Terrace's history as 'Whiskey Row'. Due to the nature of a grade A listed building each of the 14 rooms are accessed by stairs and there is no elevator at the property. Each room is delicately furnished with premium cotton linen and luxurious bathrobes. Lovely short break in Edinburgh....

Liked: Fantastic location, only a stroll to the centre, lots near by. Amazing art work. Fantastic staff who were all really helpful

Lovely stay at 24 Royal...

Liked: The staff are very warm and kind. The place is lovely and the breakfast delightful. Our window had a pretty garden view which we loved. Also loved the walk to the city in the morning with the birds chirping in the street. Hotel is in pristine condition and very well talen care of, and is very quirky with its art pieces..
Disliked: The rooms are a tad small and there was alot of stairs but understandable as this is a period building.

This is a perfect place...

Liked: Wonderful location and look with very friendly and always available staff. Breakfast was excellent with so many options and the nicest dining room. My room was so cozy and comfortable, neatly attended to each day, and even ready when I arrived early. The garden view from my room was just lovely, it was such a peaceful stay.
Disliked: The knob on my door was a little squeaky, and the banging of coffee grounds behind the bar while dining was quite loud. Minor noise issues in an otherwise perfect environment.

Liked it in general. Some...

Liked: Friendly staff. Clean room. Nice view. Location was also fairly central.
Disliked: Lots of noise during night. Breakfast was very expensive and kids portions were not available. Also Continental breakfast didn't have a lot of choice.
