The Spotlight on 1795 Acorn Inn Bed and Breakfast

Charming Country Escape Near Canandaigua’s Music Scene

This elegant and historic bed and breakfast offers a peaceful retreat in the Finger Lakes region, just outside downtown Canandaigua. Set in a beautifully restored 18th-century inn, 1795 Acorn Inn Bed and Breakfast blends timeless charm with modern comforts like free WiFi, air conditioning, and private baths. With lush gardens, cozy rooms, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s an ideal spot to unwind after a night of live music.

Why Concert-goers love it

Just 11 miles from the CMAC Performing Arts Center, the inn is close enough for a quick drive to the show, but far enough for a serene night’s sleep afterward. The 24-hour front desk makes late-night arrivals stress-free, and the peaceful countryside setting helps guests recharge in comfort. Free parking is a plus for those road-tripping to their favorite gig.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends will love the relaxed common areas and garden views. Solo travelers can enjoy a safe and quiet night’s rest. Couples will appreciate the romantic charm and in-room comforts like bathrobes and soaking tubs. Fans seeking quiet after a lively show will find the atmosphere ideal. And budget-conscious music lovers will appreciate the value-packed extras like breakfast and parking.

Food and Drink Options

Start the morning right with a hearty continental or full English/Irish breakfast, served with fresh fruit and juice—perfect after a late night. While there’s no late-night restaurant on-site, the inn offers a snack bar for quick bites. Nearby Canandaigua has a range of local dining spots within a short drive.

Nightlife Options

While the inn itself is more about rest than revelry, you’re just a stone’s throw from Canandaigua’s wine bars, breweries, and lounges. For live music beyond the CMAC stage, downtown Canandaigua offers local venues and low-key nightlife that's easy to reach by car.

What People Say

Guests rave about the immaculate cleanliness, attentive service, and quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Many mention the charming decor and picture-perfect garden views. The homemade breakfasts are a definite highlight, and travelers appreciate how easy it is to get to and from shows at CMAC.

Areas for Improvement

This isn’t the spot for high-energy nightlife or walkable venues—having a car is essential. Some guests noted that the old-world charm comes with a few creaky floorboards, but most found it added to the inn’s character.

The Bottom Line

If you're looking for a quiet, cozy home base after a concert at CMAC, 1795 Acorn Inn Bed and Breakfast is a stylish and restful choice in the heart of wine country.

Our stay at the Inn was very enjoyable.

Liked: As we entered the Inn, the hostess met us at the door and provided additional information about the area. She walked us through the Inn and showed us to our room. The room was centrally air conditioned and the room temp. was easily adjusted to meet our needs. The bathroom was very modern. If needed, amenities such as a tooth brush, etc. were available. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. If necessary, dietary needs were taken into consideration. The table setting was elegant but the atmosphere was relaxed and cordial. The staff aimed to please and succeded. The grounds were easy to access. We utilized the outdoor seating to enjoy the quiet well landscaped setting, relax and watch the sunset thru the trees.
Disliked: The Inn's location was approximately mid way between Naples and Canandaigua. This was both convienent and inconvienent.
