Overall we are satisfied, and...

Liked: We stayed only one night.20-21 April,room 7, top floor Three friends. The building is just renovated. Painted, new carpet,furniture. Clean bathroom Kettle, tea,coffee facilities. Everything was good.
Disliked: We didn't like the check out time. Honestly they kicked us out at 10.00 am,or have to pay late check out fee. Is better to change check in time after 2.00 pm,because you exploring the city.We checked in 5.00pm,and then went for dinner is too early to check out 10.00.am.I never had before. As a recommendation only that it needs some sort of coat hanger.

Nice stay in Edinburgh

Liked: The room was spacious and clean. Comfortable mattresses and nice ensuite bathroom. We had some trouble with the self check in but the staff helped us immediately. The building is 20 min walk from the center but is very close to a busy road with a lot of restaurants and cafes. Good public transport in the area and parking is free after 5:30pm on the street outside but during the day the parking is a bit expensive (3.80 per hour for up to 4 hours)

Liked: Staff and location are amazing
Disliked: Rooms are well equipped and cleaned but the smell was bad (like mold) - for one night was ok to stay there - not more

Basic but OK

Liked: The situation was fine. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable and everything worked. The room faced the back and reasonably quiet. There were places around that could provide breakfast and snacks. The accommodation was fairly basic but priced as such
Disliked: When I arrived the front of the house covered with scaffolding and access a bit hazardous because of building materials'.The hall was full of roles of carpet, as was the reception area, also hazardous. The staff were not attentive but when asked for directions to my room etc they were reasonably helpful, as were the cleaning staff.

Disliked: The shower controls for the temperature were difficult to navigate. And adjustment for the positioning of the shower head, the mechanism didn't work. I have already enailed/text the property before departure to let them know.
