Not overly impressed
Disliked: The host, Miriam was very rude and and not very accommodating. Our room was still unclean from previous guests. I have stayed there many times & Miriam said there were no other rooms so We had to come to reception and when we did they had a room!

Liked: Loved the location and the feel / vibe of the hotel. Staff was very helpful.
Disliked: The room picture and description on booking.com did not match what we received. more info should have been provided that Queen alcove rooms with the daybed are only in front facing and it did not indicate there was a difference in what we would be getting. That was deceiving and the hotel could not control since it went thru booking .com. The pricing should be different as those rooms also have a view and are brighter. Our rooms were much smaller. The price for one queen bed was high - as a program member in many loyalty programs I chose not to stay for free across the street at JW to try this. will likely not book via booking.com in future and instead would book directly with hotel.

Is it still a hotel...
Liked: Friendly staff. Decent design. And a room with sufficient plugs and a lovely window nook/day bed.The location is obviously, wonderful. And the coffee downstairs is also, great.
Disliked: I couldn?t find it on the website nor at booking.com, but on arrival, I was informed they are not cleaning the rooms daily nor doing any turn down service*. Instead they will clean your room every third day?So be ready to make your own bed in this luxury hotel with luxury hotel rates.Other minor inconveniences are the lack of water pressure in the shower, the lack of counter space in the bathroom and the smoke detector that flashes constantly right above your head.* yes- it is a covid policy, which could be understandable. Nonetheless, annoying. Other hotels I stayed in NY the days before are giving a full service and in any case, being a hotel policy impacting the guest, I think it should be more clearly stated.
