Sprint Center is right by the Power and Light District where the neon signs of live music venues, shops and restaurants are spread over half a million square feet. We suggest you bring some dancing shoes and a sense of adventure.
Mutual Musicians Foundation
Housed in the Historic Jazz District, this old union hall has been filled with after-hours jam sessions since the 1930s. These days it invites a mix of veterans stars and younger musicians to the stage.
The Arabia Steamboat Museum
This museum gives a detailed look into the Midwest's "boom" years of steamboats. The $14 entry fee includes a tour guide about the place, followed by a short documentary on the discovery and excavation of the boat.
A colorful array of games fill this bar - located just south of downtown - from old school pinball to the latest videos. Beers are on tap including the local Boulevards, while music is played on huge decks.
Flying Saucer Draught Emporium
Because wordplay is fun. And so is a huge selection of beers. Punters can choose from a chalkboard of local brews in this easy going pub where saucers decorate the ceiling and walls. The menu is small but carefully formed, including bacon-wrapped jalapenos and chilli.
Cleaver and Cork
Based in the Power and Light District, this gastropub tempts in diners looking for an upscale experience. The menu is all about 'farm to market' so you can expect wholesome local meats and fresh veggies.
Kansas City has a fair few fountains. Over 200, in fact, making it on a par with Rome. If you've got a couple of free hours, take a stroll around Country Club Plaza to see many of the water features which decorate this fancy shopping district.
Head for Grand Boulevard, in the downtown area of Kansas City. If public transport's your thing, you can take the MAX bus to the Arena stop.
Fourteen concession areas take care of meals and snacks, including Truman's, which cooks up meats using the city's famous smoked barbecue technique. And how about a side serving of panoramic views? Diners can tuck into their choice of burgers, tacos and more classic offerings while gazing out of the center's floor-to-ceiling glass walls.
Unfortunately not, but cell phone coverage should be pretty good: you're right in the middle of downtown.
Prices vary across different lots and dates, but it'll probably be $5 or upwards. Check out this map to see where you can leave your wheels.
Typically one hour before the show.
It looks like you might have to just commit the evening to memory - no cameras or recording gadgets are allowed at concerts. On the bright side, at least there'll be fewer arms stuck in your view.
This venue is ranked #5 of 20 rated venues in Kansas City

First time visit for myself and girlfriends. We raved to each other and others about the overall fine audio and visual at Sprint Center. And Bob Seger, GOD, love him, he sang his heart out. The musicians, back up singers all gave it their all. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you.
Liked: Spectacular! Helpful and friendly staff. Clean - very clean restrooms as well as the Center itself. Awesome sound system and visual of stage.

We will never attend another "In the Round" performance.
Disliked: For the price we paid for our tickets we felt, since the show was 'In the Round', we didn't get to see much of Josh Groban as he spent most of his performance with his back to us.

Very clean venue; parking was good; staff was very helpful.
Liked: Very good seats and excellent viewing of concert.
Disliked: Sat in section 104 - it seemed all floor seating used aisle for 104. Would have helped if we could have used other aisles. We could see the first 30 minutes of opening act.

The Sprint Center is a very nice facility. Drinks were very overpriced at $18 per drink. Memorabilia wasn't situated well for sales.

Enjoyed the best TOOL concert I have ever been too. It was a delight to cross the street to a land of nightlife entertainment. Not a bad seat in the house.
Liked: I will return.

I had the best time there. We drove 7 hours to be there and I will definitely do it again. It was well worth the drive and the money. Thanks for the opportunity.
Liked: Friendly workers
Disliked: Not enough room for smokers.
