Very Good - 4 out of 5

Jean Sun, 10 March 2019

This was our first visit to Zelo. We had tickets to a late comedy show at the State Theatre, and started our evening with dinner at Zelo. We live outside the metro area and although I work downtown, my husband is retired and it's tough to get him there. Plus we were in the midst of a winter storm and driving on 35W was horrid. However, the Zelo experience made it all worthwhile: he always orders calamari, and Zelo did not disappoint - very fresh and supple calamari with a light coating. Comes with a garlic sauce, but reallly only needed a squeeze of fresh lemon. We split the ahi tuna burger and enjoyed it. Couldn't find anything dark chocolate on the dessert, so opted for cognac instead. Good people-watching, fantastic wait-staff, and thank the Gods for valet parking curbside. We will be back.

Liked: The calamari was wonderfully fresh with a nice, light coating. Wait staff are attentive but not too much; good wine choices. Valet parking was a big plus on a snowy night.
Disliked: Couldn't find anything dark chocolate on the dessert menu :(

The food was excellent. The atmosphere was wonderful! We went for an early dinner before our show and couldn't have made a better choice.
