We are open for indoor dining per the City of Chicago guidelines.
All reservations made online are for indoor tables with capacity restrictions and following social distance guidelines.

Patio is first come, first serve. We do not take reservations for the patio.

Tables larger than 10 guests are not permitted under the city's indoor dining guidelines. Please directly call the restaurant at 312-981-7070 to inquire about splitting a larger group into multiple tables.

To ensure the safety of all of our guests and staff, we do require all guests to wear face masks while not seated at their table. Staff will be wearing masks and sanitizing throughout your entire dining experience.

Our menu can best be described as innovative plays on familiar dishes. The Kennison is committed to creating ingredient driven, approachable menu items. Located in the heart of Lincoln Park, The Kennison is a wonderful option for guests to enjoy outstanding cuisine and great company.

We were very disappointed in this place. We arrived at 1:30 to get to the Van Gogh exhibit in plenty of time but the breakfast menu was still on and would not change until 2 pm and there was no way they would make an exception. The food was mediocre. The potatoes were cold. The coffee was cold and old. Will never eat there again!

Liked: The service.
Disliked: Cold potatoes, cold coffee and a lousy mid afternoon menu that did not change until 2 pm.

The Chicago Historical Society closes at 4:30 and this opens at 5:00, so we had to wait outside a few minutes. It was hard to hold a conversation since our table was noisy, so we asked to move around the corner and that solved the problem. All four main courses were very tasty. I had the pea risotto, two had the halibut and one had pasta. We didn't get any bread, but we ordered some late in the meal. All of the staff was very nice.

Liked: The main courses were delicious.
Disliked: I tried the Kim Chi as a side. I've had Kim Chi that I loved and that I hated before. I didn't like this one. Too hot.
