Very Good - 4 out of 5

Larry, Amissville, VA Thu, 20 October 2016

We got there relatively early; atmosphere was excellent - a table by an open front "window" on a warm late afternoon, so we could watch the passing parade. Server was very good, offering some insights into the wines we chose, and was accommodating about making up small salads for us. The food was very good (beef agnolotti and lobster) with reasonable sized portions, and the desserts were as well. Two downsides: the entrees were not cheap, and they should have included a small salad and bread; and as the restaurant got busier the wait staff was a little slow to give us our check and then to collect it, spending more than a little time settling newly arriving diners. On the whole good, and if we're back in Charlottesville we would consider dining there again.

Liked: Very comfortable; relatively low sound level; ambience; food. Server was wine knowledgeable.
Disliked: A little pricy - for the money a side salad and bread would have been welcome. Server a little slow with our check as more diners came in.
