Celebrating the traditional South African braai, Hammer & Tongs specialises in generous portions of succulent meats. Juicy steaks and ribs are marinated in herbs and spices, and served alongside a diverse exclusively South African wine list, signature cocktails and craft beers in a warm, inviting setting.
The Hammer & Tongs menu is centred around the traditional South African barbecue, known as a braai. Imported Sekelbos wood from Namibia is used to smoke the beef, pork, chicken and fish dishes, with delicacies including spiced pork belly skewers with apple and cider compote, and boerewors beef sausage served with homemade chutneys. The restaurant also bakes its own beer bread, and features a selection of gourmet salads for non meat eaters.
For pudding there are exotic sweet treats like chilli grilled pineapple with ginger ice cream and toasted coconut, while the bar mixes up all kinds of signature cocktails.
