Fifty-Six Union is celebrating 21years of year-round service on the Nantucket Dining Trail. Intimate Dining Rooms, Outdoor Patio Oasis (completely protected), full bar, and an incredible wine list. Dinner is served nightly at 5:00 PM, offering Peter’s House Specialties that include the best Curried Mussels in the World!
Peter is a ’78 graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. He came to Nantucket in 1979 and has worked in some of the top restaurants on the Island. In the year 2000, he and his wife, Wendy, opened Fifty-Six Union.
Peter’s Global Cuisine changes seasonally, using fresh, local ingredients. Wendy’s 150 bottle wine list includes the ‘top guns’ as well as the unique ‘little gems’. They now serve their own Private Label Pinot Noir by the glass, produced and bottled by Steele Wines, called Veronica’s Private Reserve.
