Despite the fact that the restaurant was closed, Irving, the GM, seated and served us in the dining room. He personally brewed the coffee (he could use a little tutorial in coffee brewing) and made sure that the kitchen, which seemed to be open for people at the bar, accommodated our dinner requests. It may sound silly, but I am always impressed with quality glass and tableware especially when the food and the service are quality as well. This place is a gem and should get the word out there to attract the theater and the symphony crowd. It is an easy walk to the old Shubert, Symphony Center, the Auditorium and several other entertainment venues. What is their PR person doing -- NOTHING!
Liked: The setting for the restaurant is contemporary, interesting and quite impressive. The menu is limited but the selections are tempting and everything we ordered was well prepared and beautifully presented. The service was excellent and the server was mindful that we had a ballet to attend.
Disliked: We made our reservations, but there seemed to be some confusion about the dining room being open. We discussed this with the manager and he said that OpenTable had been informed that the dining room was temporarily closed but had failed to close down the website.
