Exceptional
Liked: Perfect location for walking the Cumbria Way.This is one of the most beautiful YHA hostels I’ve stayed at – the mountain atmosphere could be felt throughout the building and all around it. The food was good, and the staff were helpful and welcoming. A great stop on the trail!

Family walking weekend break
Liked: The place and location was perfect for our needs. Showers were good. Nice bar area for relaxing.
Disliked: The plastic covered mattress made you sweat. The road in was only wide enough for one vehicle and full of deep pot holes. Unfortunately we had a power cut that lasted 10 hours over night with no back up plan, there was no food or bar service, I thought that there would have been a back up plan in place, generator and cash option etc?

Lively, friendly, great amenities, everything...
Liked: Staff we super friendly and helpful.The food was very good.The bedding surpassed my expectations 10 fold

Functional, clean, friendly.
Liked: The food was great.
Disliked: Bunk beds. I nearly pulled the bed over trying to get ion to it and the mattress is like concrete.
