Liked: Location, old features retained. Lovely contemporary bathroom
Disliked: Service charge automatically added to food bill. Happy to tip staff but don’t like the 10% surcharge. Yes, you can opt out but that’s just awkward.

Liked: Great location, wonderfully historic building, very spacious room, very comfortable bed. We had dinner one evening and it was delicious!
Disliked: The pillows were hard and uncomfortable

Liked: Excellent choice of breakfast on menu. All freshly cooked, nicely presented and hot. Staff were always around to ask if anything was needed. Really friendly, efficient staff. Evening meal in the restaurant was superb. Comfortable room, very tastefully decorated. Interesting information about the history of this old hotel. Would definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend the hotel
Disliked: Nothing! Not a problem but car park is small and gets full up quickly. There are plenty of public car parks nearby and it is cheap compared to where we live!
