Bad

Disliked: Three messages to this place through booking.com, no reply. AND you took an extra 21 off me as I thought I was being allowed to amend the booking..!! I think that a refund of my entire 65 is appropriate considering the abject lack of courtesy I have been afforded.

Welsh Wales

Liked: The pub food was Bob on. Good Atmos in the bar. The bed was comfy. Good parking.
Disliked: If I had booked that on the strength of the pictures for a week I would have been verrrrry disgruntled. They weren't what we stayed in at all. Very basic everything. I realise it was designed to resemble an old building to match the pub but the bathroom wasn't the cleanest or well maintained. The sink stuck out so far it was difficult to sit on the loo. That said, what dya want for 40. Maybe some adult clothes size hangers in the wardrobe. Not children's hangers. More than 1 dress towel and 1 bath towel for 2 people.

Basic accommodation with a friendly...

Liked: Full English Breakfast was Good. Limited choice of cereals (Frosties and Rice Crispies) with no healthy choices such as Muesli of Fruit. Ample Parking and safe Garden play area at rear. Quiet Location, friendly local pub feel.
Disliked: Room was disappointing. It reeked of cigarettes, distasteful to non-smokers. The room was directly above an archway which it is is assumed is used by smokers in inclement weather. The room was gloomy with poor lighting. An ageing bathroom with boiling hot water that could scald the unwary. The TV could not be viewed comfortably from the bed and lacked even basic channels such as BBC 1.

Needs work

Liked: The location was great with brilliant bar and restaurant onsite. From the outside the complex looked good and unique
Disliked: The room had a very weird layout with everything in awkward positions. The telly was very hard to view from the bed. In the shower the fan was half covered by a wall and was made to work by a stone shoved into it which then made the fan make a really loud noise while the bathroom light and fan were on. The key would also not lock the door from the inside.

We like the place but...

Liked: Breakfast was good but little more choice would improve the meal, more cereals or fruit. The staff are friendly and helpful Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are nice and warm for a February stay.
Disliked: The shower room has no shelves for putting your toiletries on, the basin is a cloakroom type basin so too small to have a proper wash in, also the loo was flushing with hot water. We did report this to a staff member when we stayed there in November and again on leaving on this visit so hopefully action will be taken. Also tea and coffee for the rooms is not replenished daily, you really should not have to ask for more.

Was quite lovely overall

Liked: We stayed in the cottage, which we were pleasantly surprised with, it was a lovely self contained annex in effect which having young children could not of been better, it was lovely and spacious and was well equipped it was lovely and cosy You could quite happily of lived in there with the amount of space and layout. We had a lovely evening meal, and the most lovely breakfast would recommend the steak!!
Disliked: the overall cleanliness was a bit lacking with dust, cobwebs and missing lightbulbs but nothing offensive the beds and linen were clean and the beds most comfortable. the overall cleanliness was a bit lacking with dust, cobwebs and missing lightbulbs but nothing offensive the beds and linen were clean and the beds most comfortable. But as mentioned perhaps more attention to dusting etc
