Poor

Liked: location's
Disliked: the virtual check in due to technical difficulties and minimal english speaking employees took me an hour and 15 mins to check in after a 5 hour drive after work. The virtual front desk didnr mention how to get to our rooms. took another half an hour. had to walk around the back through construction. get to the room and its a space heater. shortly after power went out. the smoke meter is a bit invasive and money hungry. i smoke in my car dailyand get it out with ease.... and i smoked in my car but still a bit much

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL....

Liked: Nothing. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I did not stay here, and booked a different hotel within half an hour of arriving.
Disliked: The building is under active construction, which was not communicated in any way on booking.com, or at the site until AFTER check in. This created a dangerous situation as a hotel guest navigating through an active construction site to get to my room. It also led to an unsafe situation with blocked, unmarked exits: I tried to leave the building the way I came and got disoriented because there was no exit signage. I kept hitting locked doors and open doorways blocked with plywood. I finally had to talk with a construction worker to find my way out - he instructed me to go UPSTAIRS to exit and it took me another 10 minutes after that, going out doors that said "emergency exit only", to finally exit the building. Their off-site reservation management kiosk system results in a terrible check-in/check-out system and means there is no active staff on site to help with issues or in case of emergency. The room's baseboard heat was unplugged, broken, and VERY dirty - if I had plugged it in it would have smelled like burning dust. There was a single space heater - the room was cold when I arrived and the low overnight was forecasted 30 degrees. I tried calling the front desk with the room phone and didn't get anyone because, again, there's NO staff on site. I kept getting automated texts telling me to text if I needed anything but they didn't respond to my question about whether the space heater was the only source of heat. The tarp on the building exterior was flapping loudly in the heavy wind which was a noise disturbance from inside the room, along with the noise of active construction. FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, DO NOT STAY HERE until the construction is done... and even then, not until there are real live humans working at the hotel (instead of off-site representatives who can't actually help you in any way, especially not in case of an emergency).

It was more stressful than...

Liked: The staff was friendly
Disliked: It was under construction so it was a mess. We couldn’t park near the doors and then had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. You couldn’t get to the pool from the inside you had to go out and walk around. This info should have been on there site.

We ended up not staying...

Liked: It was difficult to get into the room as no one was at the desk, and it took some time to locate the right person. There was construction on site, and it was not very cleanly. There was trash in the hall. The room had an odor, and the enclosed deck even worse. we ended up not staying the second evening. Cannot recommend this hotel.
Disliked: Please see above

Was promised a complete refund,...

Liked: The location is great and the lobby is quaint and cute.
Disliked: The hallways and room reeked of cigarettes, the rooms are not in the main building, the listing on Booking is a gross misrepresentation of the room I was given.
