Liked: The staff couldn't have been nicer, not a corporate-policy kind of friendly, but real authentic warmth. The house is Victorian and the updates a little quirky. But getting past that, it is a completely wonderful experience. In my room, the high ceilings and windows were the nicest features. The good-sized desk was placed to overlook a fairly quiet street through a large tree branches. The bed was very comfortable and welcoming with crisp linens and refreshingly lacking in a I-wonder-who-has-been-here bedspread. The proportions of the room were just right for a longer stay. I could see a writer taking refuge here for a month or so. While the bathroom could use an update on the somewhat awkward oversized jacuzzi (maybe just a nice victorian tub) it was spacious, well lit with natural light filtered through a huge frosted and stained glass window, and more than adequate. Definitely my favorite place to stay so far in Sacramento.
Disliked: I would have liked a low carb breakfast option. Maybe some plain yogurt? The staff was available to help me with my bags to my room. But the steps up to the lobby needed navigating first. The faded framed art prints - well, who cares?

Liked: The hotel was extremely quiet I thought we were the only guest til I seen others at breakfast. The size of the jacuzzi tub was nice. Location was excellent i was in town for a concert and was able to walk to the golden 1 center and avoid parking fees
Disliked: Street parking

Liked: Big jetted tub. Big comfy bed. Walking distance to food/activities.
Disliked: No microwave. Continental breakfast was ok for what it was, but such a nice place seems like it could offer a little more.

Liked: Nice, clean place! Spacious, nice room. When it turned out that our room had a large crack in the door, and it was very noisy, we were given a much nicer, very quiet room.
Pleasant, helpful staff.
Disliked: When looking after breakfast they didn't seem like they had focus both of the days we stayed. Things ran out - eggs boiled green or not boiled at all. Room 202 in the hall / second floor had a clear gap when the door was shut. All the sounds went right in. it shouldn't be in use until it's fixed.
